RULES AND REGULATIONS
46th International Film Festival – Lubuskie Film Summer – Łagów 2017
§1
1. The 46th edition of Lubuskie Film Summer – Łagów 2017 will be held between June 25th – July 2nd 2017 in Łagów Lubuski.
2. Lubuskie Film Summer is a competition of Eastern and Central European films and a review of international cinema with special focus on Central and Eastern European cinema.
3. The aim of the festival is to promote film art and to award best films and their directors.
4. The festival is a forum for exchange of opinions and experiences. It aims to enable cooperation between participating countries in the field of film art.
5. The festival promotes films of a high artistic value.

§2
1. The organiser of Lubuskie Film Summer is the Film Culture Club in Zielona Góra.
2. The organiser invites to cooperate other state, community and private organisations which intend to contribute with material or financial assistance towards the preparation and realization of the programme of 46th Lubuskie Film Summer – Łagów 2017.
3. Actions related directly to preparation and course of Lubuskie Film Summer are coordinated by the Organizing Bureau, appointed by the Festival’s Director.

§3
1. The programme of 46th Lubuskie Film Summer – Łagów 2017 includes: screenings of films in competitions, special screenings, press conferences, meetings with filmmakers and audience, seminars, educational meetings and special events.
2. The Organizing Bureau of the Lubuskie Film Summer invites all people, associations and institutions interested to organize meetings and seminars, promotional and sale booths, shows, exhibitions and other events promoting film art and culture within the frames of 46th Lubuskie Film Summer – Łagów 2017.

§4
1. Films entering the Feature Films Competition of 46th Lubuskie Film Summer – Łagów 2017 are limited to DCI, Blu-ray or DVD films produced mostly between January 1st 2016 and June 1st 2017, which are original works with running time over 60 minutes.
2. Films entering the Documentary Films Competition of 46th Lubuskie Film Summer – Łagów 2017 are limited to DCI, Blu-ray or DVD films produced mostly between January 1st 2016 and June 1st 2017, which are original works.
3. Films entering the Short Feature Films Competition of 46th Lubuskie Film Summer – Łagów 2017 are limited to DCI, Blu-ray or DVD films produced mostly between January 1st 2016 and June 1st 2017, which are original works with running time up to 60 minutes.
4. Under exceptional circumstances, by the decision of Director of Lubuskie Film Summer, films produced before the dates given in points 1, 2 and 3 of paragraph 4 may be allowed to enter the competition.

§5
1. The necessary condition for registration and participation in the festival is completing and submitting entry form which includes conditions, regulations of selection and participation of the film in the festival.
2. Films are selected to the competition by festival organizers; selection process is led by the Director of the Festival in consultation with film critics as well as festivals’ and reviews’ organizers in Central and Eastern Europe.
3. Consultants for the film selection are appointed personally by the Director.

§6
1. Awards described in this regulation will be awarded by the Jury.
2. The members of the Jury as well as the Chairman of the Jury are appointed by the Director of the Festival.

§7
1. The following Regulation Awards in the feature films category are established:
“Golden Grape”, “Silver Grape”, “Bronze Grape”, Juliusz Burski Prize of Organizers.
2. The following Regulation Awards in the documentary films category are established:
“Golden Grape”, “Silver Grape”, “Bronze Grape”.
3. The following Regulation Awards in the short feature film category are established:
“Golden Grape”, “Silver Grape”, “Bronze Grape”.
4. Other, non-regulation awards funded by private persons, organizations or institutions may be granted with the approval of the Director of Lubuskie Film Summer.
5. Monetary value of the Awards stated in points 1 and 2 of this paragraph is decided by the Director of Lubuskie Film Summer.

§8
1. The festival invites and covers accommodation costs for selected members of the film production crew.
2. The aforementioned decision is made by the Director of the Lubuskie Film Summer.
3. Film production crews of films taking part in the competition present their films and participate in meetings with audience and media.

§9
Invited to participate in the 46th Lubuskie Film Summer – Łagów 2017 are as following: production crew of competition films as outlined in paragraph 8, outstanding creative artists and filmmakers working in Poland and abroad, representatives of press, radio and television, distributors and organizers of various forms of film art promotion both domestic and from abroad, foreign producers, distributors and journalists.

§10
In matters not dealt within the Rules and Regulations, a decision will be made by the Director of Lubuskie Film Summer.

§11
Submitting a film or accepting the invitation to participate in 46th Festival Lubuskie Film Summer – Łagów 2017 is tantamount to acceptance of these Rules and Regulations and the determinations included in the entry form.
